Meet our Founders
Douwe Kiela
Douwe Kiela is the CEO and Co-Founder of Contextual AI. He is also an Adjunct Professor in Symbolic Systems at Stanford University. Previously, he was the Head of Research at Hugging Face and a Research Lead at Meta’s Fundamental AI Research (FAIR) team, where he pioneered Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) among other key AI breakthroughs.
Amanpreet Singh
Amanpreet Singh is the CTO and Co-Founder of Contextual AI. Before Contextual AI, Amanpreet worked on research engineering at Hugging Face and Meta’s Fundamental AI Research (FAIR) team, focusing on developing multimodal foundation models. At Meta, Aman deployed various multimodal models in production at large scale, powering important features such as feed ranking, posts, and marketplace search.
